Two ways to have a door

Most people who ask for a private office don't need one every hour of every day. They need one for the four client calls, the two interviews and the afternoon of focused work that don't survive an open floor. That's what the part-time plan is for. If your week genuinely runs behind a closed door, take a full-time office.

How the part-time office actually works

You hold a coworking membership with 16 hours of private-office time attached to it. You book the office in the member portal the way you'd book a meeting room, walk in, close the door, and leave it clean for the next person. Need a nineteenth hour that month? Additional hours are half price. Need somewhere to keep a monitor and a box of files? Add a locker for $30 a month, or move up to a dedicated desk at $399 a month, which comes with a monitor, docking station, locking cabinet and mail handling.

The offices are shared and reset after every reservation, which is the trade that makes $299 possible. Nothing is left behind, so nothing gets moved, borrowed or lost.

• The phone booth, plus The Beat as a podcast studio or a Zoom room, included with membership.
• A downtown Everett address for client meetings, with mail handling on dedicated desk and office plans.

Who takes an office here

Therapists and coaches who need confidentiality. Mortgage, insurance and real estate professionals who bring clients in to sign. Attorneys and CPAs running a solo practice. The lease you're not signing

A small downtown office on a traditional lease means a three to ten year term, a personal guarantee, a security deposit, your own internet install, your own furniture, your own janitorial and your own power bill. It also means paying for the square footage in August whether you use it or not. Here the commitment is a year at the low rate or 30 days at the flexible one, and members who start month-to-month can switch to annual within 60 days and get credit for the difference.
